Tissue and cell banking is available to all patients who are scheduled to undergo a planned dental treatment or dental surgery, including:

Long-term storage
Following a series of laboratory procedures, the sample will be deposited in the bank. We have just secured your future health. Should the results of the laboratory tests disqualify the material for banking, you will be informed.

Innovative advanced therapy medicinal products using biological material are now becoming an integral part of modern medicine.
How long can I bank my material?
After placing the cells in a dewar flask, i.e. a special container filled with liquid nitrogen where the temperature is ≤ -160 C °, the tissue can be stored for up to 20 years. The patient can choose to have the material banked for a year, 5, 10 or 20 years.
What treatments are tissue cells obtained from the oral cavity used for?
Oral cells may be used in the future for the treatment of periodontal diseases and the regeneration of oral tissues.
How is the biological material stored?
As soon as the material has been sampled at the dental office, it is placed in a special buffer that protects it during transportation. At the Bank, cells and tissues are stored in special containers (dewar flasks) filled with nitrogen at a temperature below -160 ° C. This is called cryopreservation.
Are the people from whom the material has been obtained the only beneficiaries of possible treatment?
Yes. Only the person from whom the material has been sampled may use it in the future for advanced therapy.
Does the material lose its properties over time?
Research shows that cryopreservation is the most effective method of biological material storage and allows for preservation of biological properties such as high regenerative potential, the ability to propagate and differentiate into other specific types of cells. The survival rate of cells obtained from the pulp of a permanent or milk tooth subjected to cryopreservation (i.e. storage in liquid nitrogen at a temperature of ≤ -160 C °) is at least 70%.
Does it hurt to have the material sampled?
The material is sampled during standard, scheduled dental procedures, during which the patient may feel some discomfort. However, the mere sampling of biological material is completely painless.
After having the material sampled, will I feel a hole in my mouth?
The patient may feel discomfort related to the performed dental procedure. Sampling of the biological material for banking does not increase the perception of material loss in the oral cavity.
Can every dentist sample the material?
The material can be sampled by dentists who have completed appropriate training by Cellivia.
Can people from outside of Poland use the banking service?
Yes, the service can be used by any patient, regardless of their place of residence and nationality. However, the service is provided only in offices in Poland, so if a foreigner wants to use the service they must come to Poland.
How long can I bank my material?
